Day 13 Geiranger to Narvik 8 August

It was a day of cruising along the spectacular coastline. We were anticipating stormy weather and rough seas!  It has been as still as a mill pond. Damm that global warming!

If you look closely, there is a hole in the mountain. Holy hole in a doughnut Batman!

Today we crossed the Arctic Circle, but the sad thing is that it is really quite warm with a maximum of 18 degrees Celsius. But of course, it was just one continuous spectacular coastline.

It was a day of cruising along the spectacular coastline. We had two talks today, one on Vikings and another on the Lewis Chessmen. The latter is about a very old chess set that was found on an isolated Scottish island. One piece was rediscovered in 2019 and sold for almost $1 million US.
