Day 22 Thursday 15 June 2017

This morning we are off to Hoover Dam which originally was named Boulder Dam.  It was changed in 1947 by Congress. The tour was interesting but after everything we saw it was possibly a little underwhelming. Almost all of those people on our tour were US citizens.  There was us and a fellow from WA were the only international travellers. We met a couple of nice black ladies who were college friends from Atlanta and Virginia during lunch. One of them went to school with Ed Norton. Lunch was at a diner and very nice.  We did the Tour with Comedy On Deck.  Generally Jason our tour guide was quite amusing but I can see how some people would find him annoying.

While in Las Vegas we just had to…………..have a commitment ceremony at the Graceland Wedding Chapel.  Complete with a singing Elvis. Awesome! We went to have a light snack in the casino and this woman heard our voices and she congratulated us on being so nicely dressed.  I think she was referring to Elizabeth rather than me.  As we chatted we found out that she was from Eden’s Landing near Beenleigh.  Hopefully we will post somw photos soon.
