In the morning we went off to Toledo and saw the amazing
fortified city of Toledo and its cathedral. We also visited a workshop where
they created Damascene art work, lots of swords and jewelry.
We visited another beautiful cathedral.
When we returned to Madrid we had a bus tour along
the elegant Paseo de la Castellana, passing Madrid’s most famous fountain in
the Plaza de Cibeles.
A highlight of the trip is the visit to the magnificent Prado Museum with an art historian to admire the paintings of Velázquez, Goya and Reubens. We only had an hour there so we will have to return, There was a lot to see.
