Went for a walk to the watch tower and to a lookout vantage
point to look over the city but the view from our room was just as good so we
didn’t take photos. We went to the watch tower and photographed the war memorials to the Belgian war dead in World War 1 and 2. In the market square there seem to be a huge
dance activity. Zumba has come to
Belgium.
The National Library was closed but then we visited the Cloth and Lace
Museum which we had missed the last time, as it was closed for renovation. It was worth the wait. Their display
Crinolines and Lace 1850-90 which Elizabeth loved. We waited for ages in the hotel foyer for our
room to be serviced but by 5.00PM we gave up.
We had heard another woman quietly complaining that her room had not
been serviced for two days and that was after she complained the first day.
Apart from that it was an excellent stay.
