We bid farwell to our 16th Century hotel with its
Venetian glass windows. Bruges was
lovely. We are off on a train this morning to Brussels where will connect with
the Eurostar to London. The walk was short
but the cobblestones made it seem longer.
We arrived in London via the Eurostar train and luckily we
weren’t travelling two days before with the riots at Calais which stopped the
trains. We were even luckier when
Elizabeth was taken aside and her suitcase she
We got a black London Taxi to our hotel and we were able to
check in straight away even though it was 1.00Pm and we weren’t meant to be checked
in till 3.00PM. After a brief rest and a
giant Starbucks coffee we went for a walk.
Now as we walking along we Cromwell Room we spotted a couple who we knew
on our Scenic Cruise from Prague to Amsterdam, Evan and Cheryl, along with her
twin sister and husband, she works at Carseldine, he works at Wavell SHS and
they both live at Zillmere – but of course Evan and Cheryl live a few streets
away from us at Geebung.
We continued on our walk and went past the Natural History
Museum, Science Centre, the Albert and Victoria museum, an ice-cream truck (almost
walked past it), the Albert Hall and Sainsbury (The supermarket).
