Day 49 12 May 2015 Paris

I see I had two 9 May entries that’s why I’ve skipped the 11 May…duh.

This morning we had a drive by or Arch de Triomphe, the Ecole Militaire (military school), Les Invalides (where Napoleon is entombed) but we didn’t go inside (bottom picture). The tour of Notre Dame which was an impressive and imposing physical structure.  Paris too busy for the bus tour but the views were very good and it was a good time for taking photographs.

Paris was beautiful, the new and old section spectacular in their own way.  The highlight I guess was the Eiffel Tower (“La Grand Tour” – see that’s why I gave the blog this title…hmmm).

We couldn’t go all the way to the top as we were on a time schedule and there was a queue for 20 minutes to go to the top.  In the end we decided that even if we went to the top it wouldn’t have given us better photographs.  It was pretty cool with very good vistas over the city.  From what our guide said we were very lucky with the views as he said that there wasn’t much pollution today.
