Day 60 21 May 2015 Paris-Brussels
We left our hotel at 8.30 AM to catch our train to Brussels. We unsuccessfully tried to catch a taxi so we
walked to the station. So a brisk 40
minute walk to the station with some lovely reassuring assistance from a French
cyclist. We were on the platform for a
couple minutes before we boarded so the timing in the end was perfect.
It was a lovely 1½ hour train journey through scenic
Northern France and Belgium.
We arrived on time and found our boutique hotel, Be Manos without
too much difficulty. We explored the
historic centre of Brussels, had lunch, had our hair done. The historic market centre was worth
photographing.
We went to the Costume
and Cloth Museum which was perfect except that it was closed and not opening
until next week. We had tea at a
restaurant next to the hotel so we had Flemish Stew (with beer). This is second time we have had this dish.
